Unlike conceptual building that many of you are asked to do, your strategic plan gives you a complete set of plans for building your company.  A clear roadmap describing both the route and the drivers of the objectives who will be held accountable, which no doubt involves you.

The plan includes back up research and data that confirms the rationale for the road you ultimately decided upon.
